In the Brennerei Grüner Baum, brandies have been distilled from the fruit of the local orchards for 10 generations
Oberkirch-Ödsbach is located in the middle of the fruit and berry paradise of the Black Forest between Karlsruhe and Freiburg, near the French border. It was here in 1866 that a restaurant business with its own brandy and liqueur factory was born out of an old cooperage.
In 2008, Jürgen Johannes Müller-Herold took over the distillery after working 30 years as a gourmet chef around the world. Thus today Müller-Herold combines his professional knowledge of haute cuisine with the traditional art of the fruit distiller. In his manufactory, alongside classic brandies such as Zibärtle, Kirschwasser and Jerusalem Artichoke, “experience liqueurs” are created with an equal passion.
