The Berlin studio “Cordula Kafka – light & porcelain” combines light and porcelain into atmospheric lighting elements with an exceptionally warm translucence. Delicate porcelain sheets float through the room, moon-like objects spread dynamically on walls and ceilings and light becomes a work of art.
In cooperation with German luminaire manufacturers and lighting technicians, the designers formally develop minimal and technically sophisticated solutions that give the tradition-rich material porcelain a sense of space and at the same time provide modern lighting. The high-quality small series and exclusive special lights are suitable for private homes, hotels, bars and restaurants alike and set special accents in the room. Under the designer Cordula Kafka, the Berlin studio has been combining porcelain with light forms for almost 15 years. These are implemented by traditional and partly newly developed techniques by German manufacturers. As a master student of the Berlin Art Academy, the founder can look back on a lot of experience with the classic material. The designer is fascinated and inspired above all by the delicacy and permeability of the material. “Cordula Kafka – light & porcelain” is produced for customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, GB, Morocco, USA and Hong Kong.
