Stefanie Drobits’ spirits come in stylish druggist bottles made of white glass. They are corked up with a wooden seal, and adorned with small, fairytale-like illustrations.
The distillates of apricot, almond, hazelnut, mountain-ash or blackcurrant have been reduced to 30 percent alcoholic content which allows them to unfold a particularly fine and pleasant aroma. The ingredients come from Austria, Franconian Switzerland, California and Franconia. In a brewery in the Steiermark they are manufactured to Fräulein Brösels schnaps-awakening.
Originally, the Austrian-born Stefanie Drobits is a wine merchant, now she markets her finely composed distillates in Berlin. Inspired by the slightly burning sensation in the throat after enjoying a conventional fruit brandy, she created her light brandies with reduced alcohol content – very successfully indeed: the crystal-clear brandies are already being poured out in a series of clubs and high-class restaurants in Berlin.
