The manufactory ‘Frl. Diehl Karamell’ was founded in Coblenz, Germany. ‘Frl. Diehl Karamell’ manufactures golden, wonderfully smooth butterscotch candy in many different flavour varieties, delicate caramel creams, and crunchy caramel granola cereal.
Cooking caramel is a slow work of art; careful stirring and letting it bubble up in a copper saucepan until the sugar has become golden. Waiting, and stirring, and waiting again in order to skillfully catch the perfect moment when the mixture has finally reached the desired temperature and smooth consistency. Carefully, it has to be poured into the mould and let sit to cool down – candy needs some rest, too – in order to then be cut, individually wrapped, and stamped.
No matter if vanilla, orange, seasalt, coffe-cardamom, chocolate-nutmeg, almond-thyme, rosemary, or tonka bean – each and every one of the 14 creations have admirers in all of Germany by now. A caramel cream enriched with real vanilla and handmade sea salt from Portugal, or fortified with the actual abrasion of an organic lemon, sweeten any breakfast or meal.
