The “Hohenfelder Privat-Brauerei” brews with passion – for more than 170 years now. Selected raw materials, outstanding brewing water and artisanal brewing with attention to detail and quality are the ingredients for a range of currently more than ten individual beer specialties.
In 1845 the Prussian official and administrative director K.-H. Lappmann founded a brewery on the so-called Hohenfelde in Langenberg in Westphalia that was to brew fresh Bavarian beer – as an alternative to the self-breeding and self-bred at that time, often of inferior quality, which had negative effects on health. Since then, the Hohenfelder brewery has been passionate in developing beer specialties and beer drinks, including the “Flieger” beer and two natural Radler with natural lemon juice. In the family business, quality and individuality are both inspiration and motivation for a balance of tradition and innovation. The best raw materials, partly from cooperation with regional farmers, and ecological expansion of the plants are exemplary for the integral philosophy of the brewery. Craftsmanship and care – the master brewer stands with his name for the quality of the products are supplemented by state-of-the-art technology for process control and quality assurance.
As a regional manufactory brewery, the “Hohenfelder Privat-Brauerei” serves a wide range of tastes and individual differences between the provincial regions. With the choice of regional beer specialties, the beer lover promotes the preservation of individual products and a variety of tastes in the German beer landscape – against the trend towards industrial mass beers. Various gold medals and a DLG Gold Award, as well as the Bundsehrerpreis of DLG, reaffirming the brewer’s commitment to quality, originality and individuality, confirm the high quality of the beers.
