Like no other region in Germany, the Ore Mountains can point to a unique and entrenched tradition of making masterful wooden objects and toys. This tradition has its origins in the erstwhile hardship endured by the local mountain people and has transmuted into a highly important industrial driver for the local economy.
Carl Hermann Rülke founded the family business in 1887. Since then Rülke Holzspielzeug has transformed itself into a reliable and efficient manufactory, making doll furniture with artisanal dexterity and cleverly harnessed business acumen. Today it successfully resides in the hands of the fifth generation.
The current collection spans doll houses, doll furniture and a host of doll related accessories. Quality control to EU safety standards is guaranteed though highly qualified staff and modern machinery.
Rülke Holzspielzeug is one of only a handful of businesses in the industry still making wooden toys in Saxony. In this way a piece of traditional craftsmanship lives on in a highly modern context, providing us with environmentally-friendly technologies, creativity and goods made under the banner of providing excellent quality toys for childhood play.
