The reinterpretation of a classic wardrobe hook requires a certain passion for details. The manufactory Iserlohner Haken demonstrates this passion for the seemingly mundane and in fact goes so far as to make the wall object an expressive statement.
The business invited internationally renowned architects and designers to translate their perspective of garment hooks into their own visual language. What emerged is a product line marked by a variety of artistic as well as architectonic attitudes and approaches. Hermann Schwerter, who also sold high-quality metal fittings and wardrobes, originally founded the company in 1905. Today Iserlohner Haken sees itself this tradition: they continue to operate from the region but place an emphasis on the input of internationally active designers.
