There are many reasons why people share their living space with their bicycles. Weather, lack of space, crime, but above all their love for their own bikes.
But the parking space on the wall was not the right solution and there weren’t any satisfactory alternatives. Therefore, in 2012, Sebastian Backhaus and Leopold Brötzmann designed their own bicycle furniture.
From that idea was born the Berlin-based design studio MIKILI – Bicycle Furniture: the first furniture label with a varied range of bike racks for living and workspaces. MIKILI – Bicycle Furniture combines a passion for urban bicycle culture with contemporary interior design. In all its workspaces, MIKILI – Bicycle Furniture pursues the standards of design, quality and sustainability, and local production in Berlin workshops.
