The family owned company Müller in the Erzgebirge creates master pieces with renewably sourced wood – the manufactory is now being led by the fourth generation.
1899 Edmund Oswald Müller founded his first wood manufactory in Seiffen in the Erzgebirge. Now the family run company is in its fourth generation – and still regional woods are used to make Christmas crèches, pyramids, wooden toys and carvings. Nowadays there are a few more workshops though.
The wooden products are known for their diverse decorations and traditional forms that don´ merely shine during Christmas. Müller wants to fill their creations with a deeper meaning, wood´s warmth recognizable by touching any of their objects. Their company philosophy promises responsibility and care for the environment: the renewable forestry and the utilization of the leftover wood for heating makes Müller a modern manufactory even 115 years after its founding.
