In 1936, the confectioner Franz Peters founded a small ice-cream shop in the centre of Lippstadt which changed into a café during the winter. Soon “Café PETERS” was known beyond the city for its excellent cakes and pastries. With a passion for chocolate and a finesse in confectionary, his son Norbert began the first production of chocolate in 1975 – an extensive development that has defined the manufacturer’s direction to this day. The small traditional business from Westphalia has specialised in confectionery chocolate and high quality pastries for 80 years. Their products are not solely outstandingly delicious sweets and biscuits, far more they are delicately crafted works of art made from wafer-thin chocolate, with aromas such as latte macchiato, creamy nougat, prosecco raspberry and marc de champagne, finely decorated with gold dust, nuts and dried raspberries.
