There is detailed thought and care in the way Bonn based Rheinland Distillery distills their exquisite Premium Dry Gin. 2015 the spirit won various acclaimed international prizes.
Rhineland natives Raphael Vollmar and Gerald Koenen bestowed a resounding name on their Siegfried Premium Dry Gin – none other than the hero of the Germanic Saga of the Nibelungs is the regional and traditonally produced distillate´s godfather. „Big name, a lot behind it“ is the distiller´s slightly tongue in cheek add slogan for the spirit. Siegfried Gin needs neither industrial aids nor artificial aromas or other additives.
The Rhineland Gin from Bonn garners its special taste through a touch of lime blossom, which subtly leads the delicate composition of 18 botanicals. The choosing of lime tree is no coincidence either. After all, it was a lime-tree leaf that fell onto Siegfried´s shoulder as he was bathing in dragon´s blood. Everything is fastidiously planned and perfectly aligned. That this weighty name was chosen in absolute legitimacy is proven by taking a look at the press. Siegfried Gin was elected best German gin at the World Spirits Award 2015 with the highest amount of votes a German gin ever received, and took home the gold medal shortly after that at the 15th San Francisco World Spirits Competition. In Asia, Siegfried Gin won the Double-Gold Medal at the China Wine & Spirits Awards 2015.
