The furniture manufacturer “Sarah Maier” in Baden-Württemberg has developed an excellent expertise in the handling of wood in more than 100 years of history. In their own carpentry workshop, the manufacturers produce complete furniture systems and customized room concepts, which are characterized by impressive surfaces and a harmonious combination of wood, glass, metal, plastics and stone.
The combination of exceptional veneers with high-quality varnishes emphasizes the uniqueness of the respective woods and shows their characteristics off to their advantage. Each piece of furniture becomes a stylistic element in modern and classic interiors. From the planning, the processing to the room design, the manufactory with family-owned carpentry stands for traditional, comprehensive furniture trade with a timeless design claim.
The furniture manufacturer “Sarah Maier” was founded in 1910 by Hermann Maier Sen. in Stuttgart West. After destruction and reconstruction in 1965, Hermann Maier Jun. relocated the company’s location to Markgröningen, where he further developed the manufactory as a machine inventor to the then most modern carpenter’s workshop in Germany. In 1980, the company moved on to Ursula Maier, who as an interior designer added a furnishing house and a planning office to the carpenter. Continuing the tradition of the more than 100-year-old family manufactory, the architect and designer Sarah Maier has been directing the manufacturer since 2006 in fourth generation. She developed an outstanding competence in the design and processing of rare veneers. In the own joinery, since 2015 again at the founding place Stuttgart, individual pieces and individual room solutions for private houses, offices and own small series arise. Production, showroom and a beautiful veneer cellar for the storage of the 120 different wood varieties can be found at the impressive location with historic brick hall in Stuttgart Feuerbach. Once a week, the manufactory also invites to a city-famous lunch table that brings together people and ideas.
