“Friedrichs Dry Gin” stems from the traditional gin and juniper distillery Steinhagen in North Rhine – Westphalia. The local century-old distilling traditions bring a modern, exceptionally gentle gin into being.
This distillate is produced lovingly by hand and only ever in small batches. This gin, made from juniper berries and assorted ingredients, stands for the art of the craft and shifts the distilling tradition into a contemporary, modern light. Multi-faceted ingredients, such as apple slices, coriander, angelica seeds and rosemary, underline the characteristic juniper notes and round off this gin’s balanced flavour. “Friedrichs Dry Gin” is dry, aromatic and flowery, with a distinctive juniper component, rounded off with a mellow note of coriander. Selected extracts, such as curaçao peel, liquorice, rosemary, star anise, orange, jasmine and lavender blossoms, make this distillate truly unique. Of course, it is completely free of all artificial flavours and colourings. To emphasise its German heritage, the manufacturer distributes the product as Dry Gin, rather than London Dry Gin, as this can prove misleading in regards to its origin.
Juniper has been distilled in Steinhagen since 1766. The gin and juniper distillery has built upon this 250-year-old history and continues to use copper stills to this day. This gives the gin its unique balanced flavour. The family business, steeped in tradition, delivers to companies throughout Germany and the world. The manufacturer is run by Friedrich Schwarze and Dirk Hasenbein in the 12th generation.
