The organic specialties of the Weideland Gourmet manufacture are a real rarity: sausage, dried sticks and biltong from air dried, mildly spicy and pleasantly al dente noble bison meat.
The aurochs are the back breeding of the extinct and rare great ox which is almost wild bovine species. These aurochs live in the pasture grounds of the natural Eidertals and in the Aukrug Nature Park in Schleswig-Holstein. The wild cattle wanders for at least three years in these pastures and thereby form a short-fibre, finely-marbled meat. It is tastier compared to conventional beef, has less fat, and is low in cholesterol and rich in vitamins. The sausage specialties from the aurochs are also lactose-free.
